How many diets and exercises will I try before I actually get the job done? How ever many I have done before today, that's how many!
Seriously, I am actually sort of tired with myself giving up all the time! It takes commitment, dedication and positivity, I think I FINALLY have it all, plus an ever-growing support system. If I want to look and feel a certain way, it's not going to happen by magic and it's certainly not going to be achieved by quick fixes. I had to fail a few times for it to finally click.
One big thing that really got some fire up my butt was when I realized that, as of today, there is NO way I would pass the physical test to get into the Academy...not even a little bit. How stupid would it be if I worked this hard to get my degree and then couldn't do what I wanted to because I am slightly over-weight and not so fit? I can tell you, it would be VERY stupid. And sure, I can start training when I get closer to graduating...but why not start now and blow it out of the water then, impress the poo out of some of those men? I see myself in that uniform, running 90 in my cruiser, then chasing down a suspect and instantly I feel the passion to be a better me.
And I can't lie....looking good is totally something I look forward to as well. People can say they are doing it "for themselves" all day long, but you know you want a slamming body! You want have men wanting you and women wanting to be you. Stop lying in your brain and just admit it!
So in a very general overview, here is a plan that I am setting in motion:
*Started* A general calorie-counting diet on MyFitnessPal.com. I am going to post my food and exercise journals on here daily (hopefully). I was going to do WeightWatchers again (because I lost 30 lbs on that) but I don't want to spend the money, to be honest.
*Started* A separate savings account that will be used to by myself a whole new wardrobe when I get done with the "hard part" and start my maintenance program. I will probably use it to buy things here and there to get me through until I get to go on a shopping spree as well. I think this is a majorly good idea for anyone who is starting a program. It's a non-food treat and it sure will make you feel stellar when you HAVE to buy new clothes because nothing else fits.
*Started* 10-Day Whole Body Cleanse by Enzymatic - I am actually doing this to CLEANSE my body, what it's intended to do. I am not looking to lose weight with it or anything like that. Just a nice kick-start to my diet!
March 19 (after my cruise) - I will start Jillian Michaels' 30-Day Shred along with a fitness and meal plan from her site - This will give me a good base for the next step....wait for it...
April 23 - P90X BABY! That's right. I have committed myself to P90X! I have read stories and stories and seen many results and let me tell you, I am PUMPED! That should finish up in July, right in the middle of bathing suit season...I see a bikini in my future :)
Whenever that's over - I will being hiring a personal trainer for a week to get a good maintenance program going so I won't have to do the above ever again. By this time I know I am going to look AHHHH-mazing and I will want to keep it that way.
At some point - I am going to do Insanity! I just want to see what it's all about! Maybe do it every so often to challenge my body and such.
To there you have it! This chubby chick is ready to be a fit fox yet again! I am very, VERY excited and full of motivation at this point. I hope you share this journey with me and you find it useful in your world!
Current: "OMG he is looking fat stomach, isn't he?!"
Goal: ::shirt rides up and I don't even adjust it::
Girly you don't need to hire a fitness trainer for a week, just ask Mr. W - he is who has trained me and he wouldn't mind helping :)
